Main Article Content
Abstract
Education in the digital era presents new challenges that require innovative approaches in compiling
educational curricula. One of the latest efforts presented is the Independent Curriculum concept, which not only pursues
traditional academic qualifications but also aims to develop students holistically. The main focus is on increasing digital
literacy, which is increasingly important in modern life. The Merdeka Curriculum is designed to provide a holistic
learning approach, whic ffh not only includes traditional academic aspects (such as mathematics, language and science)
but also the development of life skills that are relevant to the needs of the times. Digital literacy is integrated as an
integral part of this curriculum, with the main aim of preparing students to become intelligent, critical and responsible
users of technology. This article discusses the holistic independent curriculum which is able to increase students' digital
literacy by utilizing technological development and innovation so that they are not left behind and are able to adapt to
increasingly sophisticated technological developments. This research uses qualitative methods by observing the
implementation of the independent curriculum with students' digital literacy.
